2016 LaPine Drill Meet
On January 23, Cadets from all special teams traveled to LaPine High school in LaPine, Oregon to compete in the third drill meet of the season. The teams continue to show amazing skill. The Unarmed Drill Team placed third in overall performance and first in Exhibition Drill. The team's Commander placed second. The Armed Drill Team placed fifth with their Commander placing fourth. Color Guard one and two placed seventh and second respectively. IAED competitor Cadet Adam Grau placed first and Physical Fitness Team Individual Cadet Zach Cobb placed 6th.
In the rifle marksman competition, the Precision Rifle Team placed first and the Sporter Rifle Team placed third. Individual precision rifle Cadets Sabrina Keenan, Annalise Juergensen, and Evan Jameson placed first, second, and third. Individual sporter open class competitors Connor Hoeft, Brock Betzler, and Gavin Acevedo also placed first, second, and third in their category. Individual competitor Cadet Ashley Morgan placed second in the Marksman category, while expert competitors, Cadets Sammantha Scott and Spencer Carlyle placed first and third.
