Personal Bio: I was born in Walla Walla but I lived in a small town in Oregon called Athena. My parents are Sean and Amanda Calvert, they are my biggest supporters and hold the spot of #1 fans. I have three siblings; a younger brother(Joel Calvert), an older brother (Ezra Calvert), and an older sister (Ellie Powell). I got on the Sporter team last year in February and have been on precision since October and I have been trying to kick booty ever since. I am an active member of the Armed drill team and people call c/1LT Hannah Goin my other half. JROTC is the highlight of my day and I am excited to see how our teams do this year. I would like to go into the medical field. I have looked into both nursing and psychology. My goal is to be able to help the people around me and to reach as many people as I can. I have also thought about going into PTSD counseling and therapy. Currently I am not planning on joining the military.
Interests Outside of School: I am a gymnastics coach and I used to do gymnastics.
"My favorite memory with the rifle team was during one of my first matches. I was freaking out because I had a tendency to put for pressure on a match then I needed to. But my team does a thing called ‘Jesus Time’, It’s where we pray before we shoot. Once we prayed, I was able to calm down and just shoot because I love to rather then because the weight of the world was on me." -Claire Calvert
